Former WWE owner and CEO Vince McMahon was recently involved in a car accident that saw his Bentley suffer a considerable amount of damage.
As reported by TMZ on July 29, McMahon’s vehicle hit the back of a BMW 430 and also collided with a wooden guardrail. It is also noted that debris from the accident flew onto the other side of the road, where a third car, a Ford Fusion, ran into it. The accident occurred on Thursday, July 24, just hours before WWE icon Hulk Hogan passed away. McMahon was one of many to pay tribute to the Hall of Famer when news broke.
The report adds that the airbags in McMahon’s Bentley were deployed due to the severity of the impact, but he and all drivers involved were wearing their seatbelts. Additionally, there were thankfully no injuries as a result of the multi-car incident. Images from the TMZ article see both headlights smashed on the front of McMahon’s Bentley along with considerable damage to the front of the car.
Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon To Appear In Court
TMZ also adds that McMahon was issued a misdemeanour summons for reckless driving and following too closely, which ultimately resulted in the accident. The former WWE Chairman of the Board will have to appear in court in late August.
McMahon resigned from WWE in January 2024 when he was accused of sexual assault and trafficking charges by former employee Janel Grant. The lawsuit remains ongoing. Additionally, a second lawsuit was filed against Vince and his wife Linda from survivors of the ring boy scandal that occurred in the early 90s following new evidence being obtained. This lawsuit also remains ongoing at the time of writing.
