Fans hoping to see a Bryan Danielson AEW return in 2025 are going to be disappointed following the latest update from The American Dragon.
Danielson has remained off TV since his final match in 2024, which saw him lose the World Championship to Jon Moxley and be attacked by The Deathriders after the match. Although Danielson stated that his full-time in-ring career would come to an end after he lost the title, fans have hoped that the former World Champion would still make appearances and compete more sporadically following the angle.
However, Bryan Danielson has since admitted that he is dealing with a number of health issues, including those that have affected his neck. While fans would love to see Danielson back in action, the former World Champion has previously stated that it is a risk vs. reward scenario at this point.
If Danielson were to return to AEW, All In on July 12th would be the location as it is the biggest show on the promotion’s calendar. However, when speaking to Daly Migs, Danielson stated that he is not cleared to wrestle at this time:
“I don’t know, but right now, I’m not cleared to wrestle. Even if I wanted to, if I said, ‘Hey, I’m going to be there.’ I will be there in Kent. I will be there live in front of the people, but probably not on television. It’ll just be for the people there live.”
It still remains unknown when or if Danielson will wrestle again.
When Did Bryan Danielson last Wrestle In AEW?
Danielson’s final match took place at WrestleDream 2024 on October 12th. Following the loss to Moxley, Danielson was suffocated with a plastic bag to bring the pay-per-view to a shocking close.
