The first matches have been made official for the upcoming AEW Dynasty pay-per-view, including a match for the World Championship.
At Revolution, Sweve Strickland defeated Ricochet to become the new number one contender for the World Championship. Following Jon Moxley retaining the title over Cope and Christian Cage in the main event of the show and Mox defeating Cope a second time on the March 19th Dynamite, it is now official that Strickland will face Moxley for the title at Dynasty. As Strickland defeated Samoa Joe at the same event in 2024 to win his first World Championship, he will be hoping for a repeat result on April 6th.
Also on the March 19th Dynamite, a double pin occurred in the 4-way match to crown a new number one contender to the International Championship. With “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Ricochet both emerging victorious, Kenny Omega will put the title on the line in a 3 way match at the show.
