Fight Factory Wrestling kicked off 2026 with a night of title changes at Steel Cage ShowDown 4.
Taking place at the One NK Leisure Centre in North Hykeham, Lincoln, the main event of the show looked to send the fans home happy as Ripper defeated Jack Maxwell to become the new FFW Junior Heavyweight Champion. However, after Malika and Maxwell attacked Ripper following the title change, Carter cashed in his Dee Mansell Memorial Rumble trophy to face the new champion. Just a couple of minutes later, Carter pinned Ripper to become the new champion. Carter posed with the title on top of the cage before making his way to the back to close out the show.
Carter was the last one standing in the Dee Mansell Memorial Rumble at Bodyslam’s to Cancer 2025, Fight Factory Wrestling’s biggest show of the year. As a result of the victory, the 18-year-old was able to challenge for any title at any time for the next 12 months.
More Title Changes Take Place At Fight Factory Wrestling Steel Cage Showdown 4
Before the show officially started, the roster made their way to the stage to pay tribute to Leon Doe, who passed away in January 2026 at just 35 years of age. Doe competed in FFW under the name Paul Angel, and a video aired to pay respect as a 10 bell salute rang through the venue.
FFW’s debut show did see 2 more title changes take place before the main event, but one champion was able to retain their title. Kicking off the show, Academy Champion AJ Loeve looked set to defend his Academy Championship in an open challenge, which saw both Carter and Joey Slade answer. As Carter and Slade argued, FFW owners Hayden and Rebecca revealed that neither of them was the wrestler they chose, as the challenger booked was prospect Crook. A gauntlet match then ensued, which saw Carter defeat Crook and Slade to become the number one contender, but was unable to make it 3 wins in a row as he lost to Loeve.
The next match saw Harry Johnson face Benjamin Quill, where the only way to win was to escape the cage. In a battle of speed vs. power, Johnson finally managed to pick up the win over Quill. Unlike at the December show, where Johnson had the opportunity to use brass knuckles but hesitated, The Top Prospect used the weapon the second time around to knock out Quill and escape the cage through the door.
In the final match of the first half, a new Ladies Champion was crowned as Kiya, Eliza Roux, Hollie Barlow and Lana Austin battled it out over the vacant championship. Although Barlow claimed that she and Austin were best friends, Austin did not share the same view at first. The match saw FFW’s own Kiya and Roux form an alliance to try and combat the “best friends”, with Barlow at one point thinking she had won the match by escaping the cage. However, as this was a pinfall-only match, Barlow made her way back into the cage to help her friend. In the end, despite the fact that Austin claimed she wasn’t friends with Barlow, it was Barlow who dragged Austin onto Kiya to allow the Manchester wrestler to win gold in Lincolnshire. After the match, Barlow claimed that she and Austin were co-champions on social media:
The second of 3 title changes took place in the opening match of the second half as The Maulers defeated Mike Raphone and Strap to become the new FFW Tag Team Champions. With Mike Raphone taken out before the match could begin, Strap was worn down by The Maulers in a 2-on-1 disadvantage. While Mike Raphone did eventually get back into the match, the damage was done as The Maulers made their way out of the cage to win the titles. Gunnarson of The Maulers is now a double champion following the victory, as he also holds the FFW Anarchy Championship.
The penultimate match of the show saw Cousin Lenny, J.O.C, Romanov and Damien Valentine face off in a 4-way scramble match to determine the new number one contender to the FFW European Championship. With pinfalls throughout and with a top-of-the-cage dive from Valentine being the biggest moment from the match, Valentine was the man to beat as the 10-minute time limit neared its end. J.O.C. looked set to secure one final pin, but the time expired before the referee could count the 3.
