Elijah is the newest member of the TNA roster.
On February 20th, TNA presented its latest live episode of Impact, this time from Full Sail University in Florida, the former home of NXT. Joe Hendry appeared live to perform his latest concert, which saw the World Champion talk about his surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble and how he is willing to put the title on the line against all comers before being interrupted by The Colons, who also made their first appearance on TNA TV.
As The Colons were about to attack Hendry, noting that there were two of them and he only had one guitar, the lights went out and a familiar E minor chord rang out through the venue. Elijah then made his way onto the stage and received a great reception from the fans. Saving Hendry from a possible beatdown, the former WWE star also played a brief melody before the hostilities were interrupted by the Director of Authority Santino Marella, who booked a tag team match for later in the show. Elijah and Hendry teamed up to defeat The Colons in the main event.
The former Elias was released from WWE in September 2023 after previously being a part of the company for 9 years. This was his first appearance for a major promotion since the departure.
Elijah Signs With TNA
Following the surprise appearance, a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select stated that Elijas has signed a deal with TNA. Prior to the appearance, the former WWE star did film a vignette with AEW/ROH tag team The RIghteous, but it is unknown why this was filmed.
