After more than a year out of action, Eddie Kingston is set to make his return to the ring at AEW All Out.
During the September 13 episode of Collision, which was also pre-taped ahead of time, Big Bill called out Kingston for a match at All Out on September 20. Big Bill claimed that despite what the fans on the internet believe, Kingston wouldn’t show his face in Toronto and wouldn’t appear at the pay-per-view.
On social media, it was later made official that the match between Bill and Kingston would take place at All Out:
Eddie Kingston To Return To AEW Ring
The former Continental Champion has been away for over a year after suffering an ACL and meniscus tear while competing against Gabe Kidd at a New Japan show back in May 2024. Kingston landed badly on the guardrail after being thrown from the apron, with many suspecting a serious injury had occurred from the moment of impact. Kingston provided multiple updates on his road to recovery, admitting that at one point he was unsure if he would be back in the ring given the severity of the injury.
The AEW star missed All In 2024 and 2025 due to injury, along with the recent Forbidden Door show in London. Kingston was rumoured to potentially make a run-in during the chaotic multi-man matches that have taken place over the past few months, but the first-ever Continental Champion has stayed away from TV.
