Darby Allin Earns AEW World Title Match At Dynasty; Date Confirmed

Darby Allin was victorious at AEW Dynasty, and is now the new number one contender to the World Title.

Allin defeated Andrade El Idolo at the pay-per-view on April 12, with the stipulation being that he would earn a title match if he was victorious. Allin won the match with a Last Supper pinning combination, with El Idolo showing the AEW star respect after the match by raising Allin’s arm in victory.

Later in the show, it was confirmed that Allin’s opponent would be MJF after The Devil defeated Kenny Omega in the main event to retain his prized Triple B.

The upcoming World Title match will be the fourth time that Allin has challenged for the championship. Allin previously challenged Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley for the gold in singles matches, along with a 4 way match where he, Sammy Guevara and Jack Perry all unsuccessfully challenged MJF for the title.

When Will Darby Allin Challenge For The AEW World Title?

Following Dynasty, Tony Khan announced that Allin would get his opportunity at World Champion MJF on the Spring BreakThru episode of Dynamite, which will take place on April 15 in Allin’s hometown of Seattle, Washington.

Allin is a former TNT and Tag Team Champion, but has yet to capture the top prize in All Elite Wrestling.
