WWE star Jey Uso was closely monitored following his match at Wrestlepalooza, which took place on September 20.
Update: In a follow-up post on his Instagram story, Jey Uso stated “I’m good”, seemingly in response to the reports concerning his status.
As reported by Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, Uso was placed in concussion protocol after being busted open by a chair shot that did not land as flush as it was intended:
“Jey busted himself open, he hit Bron with the chair and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday,” he writes. “He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”
At Wrestlepalooza, Jey teamed with his brother Jimmy to take on Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker of The Vision. Shortly before the match took place, news broke that LA Knight would serve as the special guest referee, under the orders of Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. With Knight allowing the rules to be a lot more relaxed, weapons were allowed in the match without the fear of disqualification.
The finish of the match came when Breakker speared both of The Usos through a table shortly after the aforementioned injury spot, which was followed by Reed hitting a Tsunami splash onto Jey to pick up the win.
No further updates on Jey Uso have been provided at the time of writing. Features of Wrestling will provide more details when they are known.
