Cody Rhodes Says There Might Be A Receipt Coming For Travis Scott Following WWE Elimination Chamber

Cody Rhodes has spoken about the Travis Scott attack that occurred at WWE Elimination Chamber and hinted that there might be some payback on the way for the rapper down the road.

At Elimination Chamber, Scott accompanied The Rock in the closing segment as The Final Boss demanded that Rhodes sell his soul. After The American Nightmare told Rock “Go f*ck yourself”, the unthinkable happened as John Cena turned heel and attacked Rhodes. Rock and Scott also joined in on the assault with Scott’s actions generating headlines for all the wrong reasons.

As seen via fan footage from the event, Scott hits Rhodes hard in the head an made contact with the WWE Champion’s ear. While it was not reported but not confirmed that RHodes had suffered a burst eardrum, The American Nightmare was seen with a black eye on the next SmackDown taping.

With Scott’s actions generating fan backlash, many have theorised that Rhodes will be looking for payback. Speaking with Complex, Rhodes admitted that payback is on his mind:

“The next day after the incident, I told everyone, ‘He didn’t hit me.’ I didn’t realize there was a fan video circulating of him hitting me with the power of a thousand suns and the noise deafening. And then I had a Tommy Boy situation where the entire side of my face was black and blue and I kept saying, ‘Oh no, I’m good. I’m good.’ And then I had a little flutter in the eardrum because it popped. Again, I’m a weirdo, this is going to sound so strange, and I apologize to your viewers and your listeners, but man, that’s wrestling. You know what I’m saying? Beat me up. I’m going to beat you up. That’s wrestling. I am not mad so much, but I am looking, and my eyes are open for what we inevitably, what we’ll call a receipt. If Travis Scott ever makes his way back into the WWE frey, maybe there’s a receipt for Travis.”
