CM Punk made his intentions clear on the December 8th edition of SmackDown.
For the first time in nearly a decade, Punk appeared live on the blue brand. At first joking that the fans have time to chant his name for the next hour if they wish, Punk alluded that he doesn’t know which brand he wants to sign with.
Getting down to business, Punk then made it clear that he wants the biggest match possible in 2024, alluding to the fact that he wants to enter the Royal Rumble and main event WrestleMania.
Giving the fans what they want, the former World Champion stated that it was time to get spicy, asking the fans who he should talk about. Punk then mentioned Reigns’ name to get a big reception from the crowd, acknowledging The Tribal Chief before stating he was the “OG Paul Heyman guy.”
Arguably the most memorable name mentioned was Kevin Owens, who Punk stated that Owens punches people in the face backstage and “he shouldn’t do that in 2023.” The line was of course in reference to the alleged backstage drama in AEW.
Finally, the Superstar who has the biggest problem with Punk was referenced, Seth Rollins. Punk stated that Rollins wasn’t the man of the house before announcing that he will decide which brand he will sign with on December 11th.
