CM Punk Tells His Side Of The AEW All In Altercation

CM Punk has recounted what happened at AEW All In.

During the pre-show portion of the Wembley Stadium show, Jack Perry made a comment about using real glass in his match, a reference to a previous argument with Punk at a Collision taping. After the match, there were reports of an altercation between Punk and Perry, with Tony Khan confirming that it did take place at the press conference after the show went off the air. The result of the investigation saw Punk fired from AEW and Perry suspended.

With multiple reports telling their side, neither Punk nor Perry ever told their side of the story, with those in AEW also being reluctant to tell the media what happened at the show. However, while appearing on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Punk recounted what happened when he came face-to-face with Perry backstage:

“Jack came back from his match, I was the next match, and I’ve got people with me. I’m not going to say who they are, because I’ve got a lot of friends that work there and I don’t want them to be punished for being friends with me.

“I walk up and I’m like, why do you insist on doing this dumb internet s**t on TV, and he was like ‘well if you’ve got a problem do something about it’ and I’m like come on man, I’d f**king kill you, what are we doing.

“I thought I was doing the responsible thing, I didn’t punch anybody, I just choked somebody a little bit. Samoa Joe was there, told me to stop, then I quit.

“I turned to Tony, I said this place is a f**king joke man, you’re a clown, I quit.

“”I went to my room, Joe and Jerry Lynn got me and lets just go out there and kill it. I was just too fired up and I’m fired up now, I’m probably going to regret talking about it.”

CM Punk Confirms WrestleMania Involvement

Although out injured, CM Punk confirmed that he would be at WrestleMania regardless. During a segment featuring Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre on the March 25th episode of Raw, Punk announced that he would be a guest commentator for the World Heavyweight Championship match between The Visionary and The Scottish Warrior.
