AEW star Chris Jericho has issued a statement on his pro wrestling plans for 2026.
The first-ever AEW World Champion has been notably absent from TV since April, the longest he has been away from All Elite Wrestling. Instead, Jericho has been focused on touring with his band Fozzy and focusing on other projects.
With a number of high-profile names making the jump from AEW to WWE over the past couple of years when their contracts had expired, such as Penta, Rey Fenix and Mariah May, who is now known as Blake Monroe, many believe that Jericho is looking to wait out the remainder of his contract and be the latest name to make a WWE return. With Jericho’s contract reportedly due to expire at the end of 2025, the rumours have continued to circulate as there is no definitive sign that the former World Champion will be making a return to TV after 8 months away.

While speaking with Tim Weisberg on WBSM, Jericho gave an update on what fans should expect from him next year:
“You never know. I’m not done yet. Still figuring out everything and we’ll see where I end up. I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere,” said Jericho.
Back in October 2025, Tony Khan spoke about Chris Jericho, stating that he is a huge part of AEW.
