WWE star Chelsea Green was not cleared to compete in her AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship match, where she was set to team with Ethan Page.
The match between champions Green and Page against challengers Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice was scheduled to take place on the February 7 broadcast of AAA on Fox. However, during the build-up to the match, Page video called Green, who was not at the venue. Green showed Page that she was in a walking boot. La Hiedra then spoke with Page and was confirmed to be Green’s replacement. Unfortunately, the makeshift duo were unsuccessful in their defence as Vice pinned Hiedra to win the match and championships for herself and Mr. Iguana. The title change brings Green and Page’s reign to an end at 97 days.
Corey Graves later noted on commentary that Green suffered the injury in her match on SmackDown, which saw her and Lash Legend lose to Tiffany Stratton in an Elimination Chamber qualifier match.
Cheslea Green Confirms Injury That Made Her Miss AAA
Following the conclusion of the match, Green posted a photo on social media of her bruised foot and the walking boot that was seen in the video call with Page. Green also captioned the photo protesting how things played out on AAA.
