Charlotte Flair Provides Recovery Update & Discusses WWE Return

Charlotte Flair Provides Recovery Update & WWE Return

Charlotte Flair is ahead of schedule.

The 14-time Women’s Champion saw her WrestleMania dreams end prematurely in December 2023 as Flair suffered a devastating injury. Tearing her ACL, MCL and meniscus, Flair was announced to be out for 9 months and will unfortunately miss WrestleMania 40.

Frequently providing recovery updates on social media, Flair made an appearance on CNBC Power Lunch to discuss her recovery and a variety of topics related to the big news in WWE.

Discussing her rehabilitation, Flair stated that it has been 6 weeks since the surgery and there is optimism that an early return could be possible. Additionally, Flair’s goal of becoming Women’s Champion once again remains unchanged:

I’m six weeks out Thursday. I’m ahead of schedule and every day all I can think about is returning back to the ring, especially with all the excitement of The Rock, going to Netflix, WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, all I can think about is getting back and winning that number 15.

Charlotte Flair Discusses Massive WWE Deal

Back in January, WWE announced that they had reached an agreement with Netflix to broadcast Raw from 2025. Discussing the historic deal along with The Rock’s recent WWE return, Flair said the following:

Netflix has 250 million subscribers, so it’s only going to make WWE’s content more popular and WWE has always been revolutionary in whether it’s Raw, SmackDown, or pay-per-view schedule.

And the Rock coming back, bringing more eyes to the product. I think sports entertainment is on a rise right now and it’s just getting more and more popular every year. I think Netflix is going to be huge for everyone involved within the WWE from talent to creative to everyone who works with the programming.

Features of Wrestling would like to continue to wish Charlotte Flair a full and speedy recovery.
