Charlotte Flair Injury Details From Dec 8 WWE SmackDown

The specifics of Charlotte Flair’s injury have been reportedly revealed.

On Friday, December 8, Flair appeared to be injured in her match with Asuka on SmackDown, which saw the finish rushed as Bayley got involved. It was announced the following week that the former Women’s Champion will require surgery and will be out for 9 months, meaning that she will miss WrestleMania 40.

Multiple sources have now gone into detail as to what injury Flair is dealing with. In an update by Dave Meltzer, Flair suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus:

Charlotte Flair will be undergoing surgery for a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus shortly, which were the injuries suffered last week that were talked about on Smackdown this week. She’s listed as being out nine months.

This report has also been corroborated by PWInsider, who add that the surgery is being scheduled for as soon as possible. There is also speculation that Flair suffered a strained neck, but this has not been confirmed.

Charlotte Flair Out For Multiple Big Events

Flair will miss the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, where the WWE Superstars would have been expected to be featured strongly at each respective event.

While the date is yet to be confirmed, Flair may be back in time for SummerSlam 2024 if the Premium Live Event is scheduled for late August.
