Bruce Prichard Likely To Retire From WWE In 2027

Longtime WWE executive Bruce Prichard is set to retire from his role within the company early next year.

The news was first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider on October 27, which states that “Prichard is planning to retire from his position of Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent around WrestleMania next year.” It is added that Prichard would remain connected with the company, but not in his existing role.

Providing more information, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Prichard needs a “very serious surgery” that would lead to him working from home as opposed to going on the road with the promotion. Fightful adds that Prichard has been filling in for Triple H to run the shows in the past few weeks as Triple H has been on vacation.

Bruce Prichard To Retire From WWE Role

Prichard first began working for WWE back in 1987, portraying the on-screen character of Brother Love. Although the character was retired in the early 90s, Prichard remained with the company until 2008 as one of Vince McMahon’s advisors.

Prichard became more prominent in wrestling in 2016 when he and Conrad Thompson started the “Something to Wrestle” podcast. When Prichard has been absent from the show, JBL has joined Thompson as co-host. Prichard has also appeared on WWE docuseries on Netflix such as Mr. McMahon and Unreal.

The future of the podcast when Prichard retires from his WWE position is unknown at this time.
