Brock Lesnar Returns To WWE

Brock Lesnar returned to WWE at the SummerSlam pay per view. The Beast made his surprise entrance at the end of SummerSlam following the main event between Roman Reigns and John Cena. Reigns defeated Cena with a Spear to retain the Universal Championship and deny John the chance to become a record breaking 17 time World Champion in WWE. Shortly after the celebration by Reigns, Lesnar’s music hit and Brock made his way to the ring:

Lesnar appeared at the top of the ramp wearing a black tank top and jeans, also sporting a longer haired look tied back. Both Roman and his special counsel Paul Heyman looked shocked as the former Universal Champion made his way to the ring. Brock then stepped inside the squared circle, but both Roman and Heyman retreated.

Brock Lesnar has not appeared inside a WWE ring for over a year. His last appearance was the main event of WrestleMania 36 night 2. Taking place inside the WWE Performance Center, Lesnar lost his WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.

The show went off the air with Lesnar standing alone in the ring. However, when the cameras stopped rolling, The Beast attacked John Cena with an F5 for the fans in attendance live.

Roman Reign’s next challenger for his Universal Championship seems to be set. It will be interesting to see where Paul Heyman’s allegiance will lie for this match. While Heyman is currently aiding Roman reigns, the history between Paul and Brock is well established and goes back over 20 years.

Brock was not the only surprise return at SummerSlam. Becky Lynch also made her return to WWE at the biggest party of the summer. Following the events of SummerSlam with both Brock and Becky, the upcoming edition of Friday Night SmackDown has the potential to be a very newsworthy one.
