Braun Stroman has provided an update on his knee following the events that took place in a match on WWE Raw.
During the July 15th episode of Raw, Strowman faced World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest in a non-title match as Preist prepares to defend the gold against Gunther at SummerSlam. One spot in the match saw Strowman attempt to drive Priest through the barricade but Priest moved, sending Strowman crashing over and clutching his knee.
Speaking with WWE Die Woche, Strowman stated that the knee is “banged up” and that he has an appointment to have the knee checked out later in the week:
“Knee is a little banged up. I have a doctor’s appointment this week to get it checked out. If you’ve noticed, it’s been bugging me a little. I’ve been a little off-step the last couple of weeks. There’s been a little tweak going in there. When I caught it on the top of the barricade, I felt something move in my kneecap. I had a bruise on my knee at the end of the match. Not using it as an excuse, but it sure as heck didn’t help me not get beat.”
Features of Wrestling will provide updates on Strowman’s injury status when more information has been provided.
Braun Strowman Recently Returned From Injury
The Monster Among Men was sidelined for nearly a year after requiring neck fusion surgery in 2023, which saw his C4 and C5 discs fused together. On the WWE Draft edition of Raw in April, Strowman was announced as drafted to the Raw brand while still seemingly out injured. However, later that night, Braun Strowman made his return to WWE.
