Bobby Lashley is the latest name to come up in conversation regarding WWE contracts.
As more and more names hit the headlines regarding their deals with respective companies, the former WWE Champion is the latest to be in the discussion as an interesting note has been made regarding his status within the company. As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Lashley’s deal is set to expire “within the next month or so” and have confirmed a previous report by PWN that he has been removed from the internal roster. It should be noted that Lashley is still listed on the Superstars page on the company website.
Lashley has been out injured for months, last competing at a live event back in May with a victory over Santos Escobar. It is also added in the report that Lashley is not factored into creative plans and has not been since spring.
While many top stars have chosen to sign new deals with WWE, Ricochet elected to do the opposite and let his deal expire, choosing to bet on himself and seek other opportunities. Additionally, multiple stars such as Dijak have found that their contracts have not been renewed by the company, sometimes on short notice.
Bobby Lashley Could Be Ending Triumphant Second Run
Ending his first run with the company in 2008, Lashley returned on the Raw after WrestleMania 34 in 2018. While certain storylines in the early stages of his run are not looked back upon as fondly, The All Mighty would eventually reunite with MVP following their partnership in TNA and win the WWE Championship twice while with the company.
