Blake Monroe is now a champion in WWE following her latest victory.
Competing at NXT Halloween Havoc, Monroe defeated Zaria to become the new Women’s North American Champion. The closing moments of the match saw both women on the outside, with Zaria charging shoulder-first into the steel steps. After being checked on by the referee, and being supported by Sol Ruca at ringside, Monroe grabbed her hair pick to try and steal the win, but was hit with a spear.
Back on the outside, Monroe inadvertently knocked down Ruca, which led to Zaria checking on her. Monroe took advantage of the distraction to hit a Glamour Shot on the outside and in the ring to win the match and the title. Monroe celebrated with the title in the ring as a distraught Ruca looked on from ringside.
The match was originally set to be Sol Ruca vs. Blake Monroe for the North American Championship. However, as Ruca was not cleared to compete, Zaria took her place.

Monroe is now the 5th Women’s North American Champion in WWE history, and ended Ruca’s reign at 189 days. Ruca won the title at Stand & Deliver back in April, after former champion Stephanie Vaquer vacated the title as she was also the NXT Women’s Champion at that time.
As wrestling fans are aware, Monroe is also a former AEW Women’s Champion from her time in All Elite Wrestling.
