Big E Addresses The Possibility Of A WWE Return

Big E has commented on potentially returning to a WWE ring.

The former WWE Champion is closing in on 2 years out of action after suffering a broken neck due to an accident that took place on SmackDown. The New Day member would suffer the injury after taking an overhead suplex from Ridge Holland on the March 22, 2022 episode of the Friday night show.

With wrestlers previously able to return to action after suffering broken necks, many are hoping that a Big E return is also possible at some point. When asked about a return by TMZ, the former WWE Champion stated that his health is the top priority and does not want to suffer life-changing injuries:

“I just want to make a smart decision,” he said. “I didn’t start wrestling to end up in a wheelchair. So I want to make sure I’m making the best decision for myself. I don’t have a timeline unfortunately, so thank you for asking.”

Doctors Have Advised Big E Against Wrestling

Although not able to wrestle, The New Day member continues to represent the company with media appearances and interviews. Back in August 2023, Big E took part in a series of interviews prior to SummerSlam. With many fans curious for an update at that time, Big E confirmed that he has been strongly advised to not have another match:

“We did the year check-up and all that stuff looked great, but on the other side, I also talked to spine specialists, people who have worked on other people in the company and done their fusions and they said, ‘Hey, I would not wrestle again if I were you.’
