the next challenger for the Raw Women’s Championship has been officially announced.
On April 24th, it was revealed that Bianca Belair will next put the title on the line against IYO SKY at the Backlash Premium Live Event.
SKY won the opportunity by winning a number one contender’s match on the Raw after WrestleMania, with the date of the title match to be determined following the victory. It should be noted that Damage CTRL member Bayley was initially scheduled to be in the match, but the leader made the decision to have SKY be the replacement.
The updated line-up for Backlash is as follows:
- Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
- Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle
- Seth Rollins vs. Omos
- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Zelina Vega – Singles match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Austin Theory (c) vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Bronson Reed – Triple threat match for the United States Championship
- Bianca Belair (c) vs. IYO SKY – Singles match for the Raw Women’s Championship
- Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest – Street Fight
