Becky Lynch has given her honest thoughts on the 2019 rivalry with Lacey Evans, promoting a response from the former WWE star.
Lynch was famously victorious in the main event of WrestleMania 35, defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships and be known as “Becky 2 Belts.” The moment was a historic one as it was the first all-womens WrestleMania main event.
After celebrating her victory on the next episode of Raw, Lynch was taken out by Evans to start up a rivalry between the two, which saw Lynch face Evans at Money in the Bank, Stomping Grounds, and finally Extreme Rules, the latter being a mixed tag that saw Lynch team with her husband Seth Rollins to take on Evand and Baron Corbin.
During an appearance on Bert Kreischer’s Something’s Burning podcast, Lynch commented on how she went from main eventing Mania to feuding with Evans, and how she found it to be underwhelming:
“I start working with Lacy Evans right out the gate. God bless her, but she wasn’t, you know, for me to go from the main event of Wrestlemania to somebody who hadn’t done anything, was terrible.”

Aware of Lynch’s comments, Evans then posted a series of responses on social media to give her side of the story. Evans first quote stated that Lynch cried during their rivalry and that there would be no animosity if she returned:
Dont hate the player. Hate the game. 😘 the only person who *shoot cried more than you was the baby I had on my hip while taking all the opportunities. 🫠 if/when I come back…..you will STILL do nothing but gently shake my hand and say “how cute my little family is” backstage.
When a fan joked that Evans should hit Lynch with her finisher again, Evans responded that Lynch “cried and no sold” the last time it happened:
I tried. She cried for 2 hours…then no sold. 😬 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Evans last competed in a wrestling ring in July 2023 in a dark match on WWE SmackDown. After confirming her departure the following month, the former Evans now goes by her real name of Macey Estrella, runs a cafe in Beaufort, South Carolina, and also makes content for OnlyFans.
