An injury update has been provided on Chelsea Green following a concerning spot that occurred during the most recent Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
The former Women’s United States Champion was in action during the May 24th special as she looked to win her title back from Zelina Vega. Unfortunately for Green, the night did not go her way in more ways than one.
On top of Green losing the match to Vega, the SmackDown star’s nose was bloody after the bell, which Green also confirmed later to be broken. While there are concerns that Green may have to take time away to tend to the injury, an update has provided more positive news.
As reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Green’s break was a clean one, adding that the former Women’s United States Champion is not expected to miss any TV time:
“Chelsea Green broke her nose. It was a clean break, so it’s not (too) bad. She’s going to stay on television, from what I gather.”
When Did Chelsea Green Win The Women’s United States Championship
Green made history back in December 2024 when she defeated Michin in the tournament final to be crowned the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. Green held the title for 132 days before dropping it to Zelina Vega on the SmackDown after WrestleMania.
