AJ Styles Returned To WWE At The Royal Rumble

Initially making his return back in October 2024, Styles suffered a foot injury in his return match against Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown, which Styles later confirmed to be a Lisfranc injury. The former WWE Champion made his surprise return to the ring at the Royal Rumble as the number 21 entrant. Lasting 21 minutes, Styles eliminated LA Knight before being pulled off the apron by Logan Paul, potentially setting up a WrestleMania match between the two in Las Vegas.
