A title match and more took place on the September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, which was also the first episode since the All Out pay-per-view.
After winning the Women’s Championship at All Out, Kris Statlander put her newly won title on the line against Mina Shirakawa. The show also saw a major return as a mystery partner was teased for Mark Briscoe and Hologram as they took on The Don Callis Family.
Additionally, Tony Khan delivered his important announcement, which was teased back at All Out.
AEW Dynamite Results September 24:
- Brodido defeated Gates of Agony to retain the Tag Team Championships.
- Adam Page defeated Lee Moritarty to retain the World Championship.
- FTR “pologised” for their attack on Bath Copeland at All Out, before being interrupted by WIllow Nightingale. After Nightingale called Beth one of her inspirations, Stokely Hathaway slapped the former TBS Champion. JetSpeed arrived as backup for Nightingale.
- Orange Cassidy made his return from injury and was revealed to be the partner for Mark Briscoe and Hologram. The trio defeated The Don Callis Family.
- Claudio Castagnoli defeated Powerhouse Hobbs. Samoa Joe and Adam Page stormed the ring before The Deathriders had a chance to attack.
- Tony Khan made his important announcement that Women’s Tag Team Championships are on the way, with Renee Paquette revealing the title design.
- Kris Statlander defeated Mina Shirakawa to retain the Women’s Championship.
- Darby Allin arrived with a flamethrower, and issued the challenge to face Jon Moxley in an “I Quit” match at Wrestledream.
