The build to Double or Nothing continued, MJF gave his answer and more on the May 13 edition of AEW Dynamite.
MJF has demanded a rematch against World Champion Darby Allin, but Allin will only agree if MJF puts his hair on the line. Allin was in action against Konosuke Takeshita, and a contract signing would take place if Allin retained the title.
Additionally, the brackets were revealed for the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments.
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz were on commentary for the show.
AEW Dynamite Results May 13:
- MJF was asked by Renee Paquette if he was willing to put his hair on the line at Double or Nothing. MJF didn’t answer, but walked past multiple bald wrestlers and producers backstage.
- Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Orange Cassidy, and The Young Bucks defeated FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood), Tommaso Ciampa, & War Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay)
- Another video package aired featuring Will Ospreay training with The Deathriders.
- Mike Bailey defeated Westbrook.
- Kevin Knight’s TNT open challenge was answered by a returning Brian Cage. Kevin Knight defeated Cage to retain the title.
- Will Ospreay defeated Ace Austin. The Opps came out after the match to taunt Ospreay. Anthony Bowens and Katsuyori Shibata looked to attack Ospreay, but The Deathriders were there as backup.
- The Brawling Birds and Hikuaru Shida defeated Triangle of Madness by DQ when Thekla hit Jamie Hayter with the championship. Shida did not help Hayter, but Willow Nightingale, Thunder Rosa and Mina Shirakawa did.
- The Owen Hart Foundation brackets were announced. Samoa Joe vs. Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland vs. Bandido and Willow Nightingale vs. Alex Windsor were all announced for Double or Nothing as part of the tournament.
- Darby Allin defeated Konosuke Takeshita to retain the AEW World Championship.
- MJF signed the contract to make it a title vs. hair match at Double or Nothing. MJF attacked Allin after the match, but Kevin Knight made the save.
