Title matches, future opponents teamed up and more took place on the July 22 AEW Dynamite.
Ahead of his match with World Champion Kenny Omega, TNT Champion Kevin Knight put his own title on the line against Darby Allin. Additionally, Divine Dominion put their Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line in a No DQ match.
The main event of the show saw All In opponents Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega team up with Jon Moxley to take on The Don Callis Family. This was also the final show before Redemption, which will take place on July 26. More matches were announced for the show on Dynamite, including a ladder match.
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz were on commentary for the show.
AEW Dynamite Results July 22:
- Kevin Knight defeated Darby Allin to retain the TNT Championship. The Don Callis Family arrived afterwards. Kyle Fletcher announced that everyone would be banned from ringside for his match at Redemption.
- Brodido defeated Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Oakda.
- Mick Foley facilitated the face-to-face between Thekla and Willow Nightingale. Thekla promised to beat the poison out of Nightingale, while Nightingale retorted that Thekla might be putting on an act as she was feeling small. A brawl broke out with Nightingale standing tall.
- Jay White defeated Clark Connors via referee stoppage. David Finlay hit White with the shillelagh after the match until the rest of the Bang Bang Gang made the save.
- Claudio Castagnoli and PAC attacked Cope and Christian backstage prior to their match at Redemption. Jay White and Juice Robinson also challenged The Dogs to a chain match at Revolution.
- Megan Bayne and Lena Kross defeated Julia Hart and Skye Blue in a no DQ match to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
- Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay defeated Hechicero, Brian Cage and Jake Doyle. After the match, Omega and Moxley argued until The Young Bucks showed up, resulting in a brawl. With Omega left alone in the ring, Kevin Knight attacked Omega with the TNT Championship. Knight held the TNT and World Championships up in the air to close out the show.
