The final build to AEW Dynasty took place on AEW Dynamite.
With the Dynasty pay-per-view taking place for the first time ever on April 21st, the main event is likely to be Samoa Joe defending the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland. Both the champion and the challenger discussed the upcoming match on the show.
At NJPW Windy City Riot, Jon Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito to become the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Mox kicked off the show following the monumental victory.
The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:
- The new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley opened the show. Moxley cut a passionate promo about the victory and how he has fought for it. Moxley turned his attention to Don Callis and called him a creep. Moxley called out Powerhouse Hobbs and challenged him to a match that will take place next week.
- Mercedes Mone cut a quick promo about being attacked the previous week and put the locker room on notice.
- Julia Hart and Brody King defeated Adam Copeland and Willow Nightingale. Nightingale was attacked backstage before the match leading to an attack on Copeland by King. Mone made the save after the bell.
- The Elite defeated Pac, Daniel Garcia and Penta El Zero Miedo
- Chris Jericho told Hook that he needed to listen to him, to which Hook refused. Jericho pushed Hook’s father Taz over
- Deonna Purrazzo defeated Mariah May
- Orange Cassidy defeated Shane Taylor. Cassidy was attacked after the match
- Will Ospreay defeated Claudio Castagnoli. Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita attacked Castagnoli after the bell but Mox made the save
- Swerve Strickland called out Samoa Joe. The two met face to face and brawled.
