The fallout from AEW All Out and the start of a new tournament are set for AEW Dynamite.
Following MJF successfully defending the World Championship at All In, the next title match is scheduled for Grand Slam on September 20th. A tournament to determine the challenger will begin on the show.
The first match will see friends Darby Allin and Nicky Wayne put their alliance on hold as they will compete against each other. The second match sees Roderick Strong determined to end the friendship between MJF and Adam Cole by winning the tournament despite his neck problems. Strong’s opponent will be Trent Beretta.
While not announced, the re is a probability that we will hear from new International Champion Jon Moxley, who won the title at All Out.
The line-up for the September 6th episode of Dynamite is as follows:
- Roderick Strong vs. Trent Beretta – Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Quarterfinal
- Darby Allin vs. Nick Wayne – Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Quarterfinal
- Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara vs. Aussie Open Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis
