The ratings for the New Year’s Smash special edition of AEW Dynamite have been published. On average, 876,000 people watched the final Dynamite of 2022. The viewing figures have been obtained via Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics:

AEW has seen a drop in viewers compared to the previous week. As the December 21st episode drew an average audience of 957,000, the drop calculates to approximately 8.5%. Dynamite obtained an 18-49 rating of 0.28, also down from the 0.30 rating from December 21st.
As reported by ShowBuzz Daily, AEW Dynamite ranked 5th for key demographic viewership on Wednesday night. Colle Football took the top spot in the rankings.
