All Elite Wrestling’s next pay-per-view event has been announced. Double or Nothing will take place on Sunday May 30th at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. This will be the third Double or Nothing event held by AEW.
AEW president Tony Khan recently appeared on Busted Open Radio to promote the Blood and Guts match on the May 5th episode of Dynamite. In the interview, Khan stated that around 40% capacity would be at the show, the largest that AEW have had since the pandemic started.
In regards to the May 30th show, Tony has said that he expects a full capacity show. This will be around 5,500 people. While the event is outdoors, there have been concerns regarding the lack of social distancing for the Double or Nothing show.
The current announced card is as follows:
- Kenny Omega (c) vs. PAC or Orange Cassidy – Singles match for the AEW World Championship [PAC vs. Orange Cassidy will take place on the May 12th episode of Dynamite]
- Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Britt Baker – Singles match for the AEW Women’s Championship
The 2021 event has a lot to live up to, with Double or Nothing 2020 being main evented by The Stadium Stampede match.
