AEW has announced the field for the 2025 Continental Classic.
On November 24, Tony Schiavone presented the digital exclusive selection show that revealed the competitors for the round robin tournament that returns for the third consecutive year. The biggest headline from the announcement was that Don Callis Family members Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada are both in the same league, and Dathriders members Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli will also face off in their league.
The full list of entrants is as follows:
Gold League
- Darby Allin
- PAC
- Kevin Knight
- Speedball Mike Bailey
- Kyle Fletcher
- Kazuchika Okada [2024 winner and reigning Unified Champion]
Blue League
- Konosuke Takeshita
- Jon Moxley
- Claudio Castagnoli
- Orange Cassidy
- Roderick Strong
- Mascara Dorada
Schiavone also confirmed the rules of the tournament, which are as follows:
- All matches will have a 20 minute time limit
- Competitors will receive 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw
- Everyone is banned from ringside for the matches
Much like in UK football, all entrants will face the other competitors in their league as part of the round robin format. The top 2 from each league will then go on to the semifinals and finals at Worlds End on December 27.
