AEW Grand Slam

MJF will next defend the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam.

With the new Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion defending the titles with Adam Cole at All Out, the Triple B will remain in MJF’s hand until Arthur Ashe Stadium at least.

AEW have announced that a tournament will begin after All Out, where the winner will challenge MJF on September 20th at AEW Grand Slam.

Adam Cole addressed the live fans in Chicago on August 30th, stating that MJF is healing up but will be at All Out. Cole was interrupted by Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett and Matt Taven, who stated that Cole has latched onto MJF to get another shot at the championship.

Roderick Strong then declared that he is going to enter the tournament and become the new champion, despite his neck not being in good shape.

No other participants have been announced for the tournament.
