AEW Dynasty 2024 Predictions

AEW Dynasty 2024 Predictions

AEW presents Dynasty for the first time on April 21st.

Airing live from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, the show is AEW’s latest PPV in their expanding calendar. All Elite Wrestling will host 9 PPVs in 2024, an increase from the 8 events that took place in 2023.

New Tag Team Champions will be crowned at the show. Following the titles being vacated at AEW Revolution, a tournament has been taking place that will culminate at Dynasty. FTR and The Young Bucks will fight it out in a ladder match to see which team will become the first-ever 3-time AEW Tag Team Champions. Expected to be the main event, Samoa Joe will defend the AEW World Championship against Swerev Strickland. With their previous encounter being a 3-way match and Adam Page factoring into the decision, Strickland will be hoping that this time will be different.

The Predictions For AEW Dynasty Are As Follows

AEW Trios Champions Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Billy Gunn vs. ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions Jay White, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn – Title Unification Match

With AEW and ROH talent appearing on both shows it feels necessary to unify the titles at this point as the trios division is not deep enough. While the Trios Titles have been defended a lot less in recent weeks, The Acclaimed look to be the favourites.

Winners: The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn

Hook (c) vs. Chris Jericho – FTW Rules Match For The FTW Championship

Hook has beaten Jericho once before and is likely to do it again at the pay-per-view. With the go-home angle seeing Jericho shove Taz and the match being no disqualification, the AEW announcer may factor into the match and help his son retain the championship.

Winner: Hook

Julia Hart (c) vs. Willow Nightingale – Singles Match For The TBS Championship

Ever since Mercedes Mone became All Elite at the Big Business special, it was clear that a match against Willow Nightingale would take place in the near future given their previous history in NJPW. With Mone set to challenge the winner at Double or Nothing, it is very likely that Nightingale will win her first championship in AEW at the show, leading to the rematch in Las Vegas.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Roderick Strong (c) vs. Kyle O’Reilly – Singles Match For The International Championship

Former friends will collide at Dynasty. With Strong still in the early stages of his run and The Undisputed Kingdom still in its infancy, Strong will retain the title at the show and will attempt to coax O’Reilly into joining the group to prove that there is a benefit to having allies. Expect heavy involvement from The Undisputed Kingdom in the match.

Winner: Roderick Strong

“Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs. Thunder Rosa – Singles Match For The AEW Women’s Championship

Much like the feud with Deonna Purrazzo, Storm’s time with the title is not over yet and there is more to get out of Storm’s reign. Additionally, with other title changes expected in the night, it is unlikely that Storm will lose the championship at Dynasty. At this rate, Storm may continue to be champion until Jamie Hayter makes her return.

Winner: “Timeless” Toni Storm

Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston and Mark Briscoe vs. The House Of Black

Copeland continues to be booked strong as TNT Champion and will continue the open challenges for the foreseeable future. Although The Rated R Superstar won’t take the pin in this match, there is a strong chance that his team loses to set up a future title match with one of the House of Black members.

Winner: The House of Black

Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. PAC – Singles Match For The AEW Continental Championship

AEW has sadly booked itself into a corner with this one. With Okada extremely unlikely to lose as he has only just won the championship and was the top star of NJPW, PAC can also ill afford a loss as he has only recently returned from injury. Unfortunately for the British star, Okada’s reign is set to continue in what will be a successful night for The Elite.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Danielson

There is a very strong possibility that this could be one of the best matches of the year when all is said and done in 2024. As Danielson is winding down his career and Ospreay looks set for a major championship match at All In, Ospreay will continue his ascent to the top of the card. With Jon Moxley reigning as the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, the victory over Danielson could lead to a future NJPW title shot for Ospreay, possibly at Forbidden Door.

Winner: Will Ospreay

The Young Bucks vs. FTR – Ladder Match For The Vacant AEW Tag Team Championships

With FTR leading the series 2-1 and with The Young Bucks continuing to play into their roles as EVPs on TV, The Jacksons will even up the score in their match speciality. Once again looking to sit atop the division, The Elite will walk out of Dynasty with all members as champions.

Winners: The Young Bucks

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Swerve Strickland – Singles Match For The AEW World Championship

This one has to be Strickland’s time. While Adam Page prevented the victory at Revolution, there is no one in Strickland’s way to stop him from fulfilling his destiny. Joe has been a great champion at the start of 2024 and has put on great title matches. However, this is the time for AEW to present a new star in the main event scene to renew interest in the product.

Winner: Swerve Strickland
