WWE Star Kevin Owens Undergoes Neck Surgery

WWE star Kevin Owens recently underwent neck surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that the former Universal Champion had the procedure done on July 18 and that it was a success. In terms of the recovery time and a possible return, sources told Fightful that Owens will likely miss WrestleMania 42, with another adding that a year minimum is the recovery time, meaning that if all goes to plan then there is a chance that Owens could be back for SummerSlam 2026, but of course, this is not a guarantee.

While there is no definitive timeframe for the return, it is also noted that Owens will be monitored to see what he is comfortable with as time progresses.

Kevin Owens was originally set to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, but due to the neck injury, he announced that the match was off. Joe Hendry was the replacement for Owens at WrestleMania and quickly lost to Orton.

When Did Kevin Owens Last Wrestle In WWE?

Owens’ final match to date took place at Elimination Chamber, which saw the latest chapter written in the rivalry with Sami Zayn that has been going on for decades. Taking place in Toronto, Owens defeated Zayn in the unsanctioned match that received universal fan and critical acclaim when all was said and done.

Features of Wrestling sends best wishes to Kevin Owens as he begins his journey to recovery.
