The October 16 WWE SmackDown will see the company make a return to the USA with a grudge match and more set to take place on the show.
6 days after Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, SmackDown will focus on the fallout from the Premium Live Event, which saw both top champions Tiffany Stratton and Cody Rhodes come up short in their respective Crown Jewel Title matches. With Survivor Series set to take place in November and with the top champions without challengers, Rhodes is set to appear live on the show.
Additionally, a title match will take place on SmackDown as Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will be in action against NXT’s Sol Ruca and Zaria.
At the time of writing, the only match announced for the show is Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu. The match was made official following multiple brawls between the 2 backstage, which led to General Manager Nick Aldis making the match official for the show. It should be noted that Fatu is reportedly dealing with an injury, meaning that the match could be postponed.
