WWE SmackDown Preview January 17

A major title match and more will take place on the next episode of WWE SmackDown.

Kicking off the year in style, Tiffany Stratton cashed-in her Money in the Bank contract to become the new Women’s Champion on January 3rd. On the show, Stratton will have her first title defence as she will put the championship on the line against former champion Bayley.

Absent since the Raw on Netflix premiere, Solo Sikoa will make his return to SmackDown on the show. With Sikoa losing to Roman Reigns on the Raw on Netflix debut episode and unable to cement his legacy as Tribal Chief, the leader of The New Bloodline will map out what’s next.

With every tag team on SmackDown looking to build momentum the Motor City Machine Guns will take on Los Garza as Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin look to get another match against DIY and win back the Tag Team Championships.

While not announced, expect more matches to be made official for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event special, which will take place on January 25th.
