Rey Mysterio won the United States Championship due to Santos Escobar suffering an injury. Feeling that his LWO stablemate is owed an opportunity at the title, Mysterio will defend the championship against Escobar on the show.
The September 22nd episode of SmackDown saw an irate Bobby Lashley confront The Street Profits about their loss, with Lashley believing that he has made a mistake by putting his trust into Ford and Dawkins. Lashley will address his alliance with The Street Profits on The Grayson Waller Effect.
