The December 17th edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be broadcast live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
WWE will be continuing the build towards the upcoming Day 1 pay-per-view on the show. As Raw saw a Women’s Championship match added to the card, expect Charlotte Flair vs. Toni Storm to be made official for the New Year’s Day event. On the December 10th edition of the blue brand, Storm defeated Flair via disqualification to earn a future title shot for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
At the time of writing, the only officially announced segment by WWE is the return of Roman Reigns. The Universal Champion was not present on the previous week’s show, which saw Brock Lesnar continue to attack a storyline-injured Sami Zayn.
