WWE Saturday Night's Main Event January 2025 Preview

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will make its return for the first time in 2025 on January 25th.

Airing live from San Antonio, the special will see 3 championship matches take place along with a first-time-ever clash of the titans and a contract signing.

With Nia Jax no longer the Women’s Champion, The Irresistible Force is looking to make it to the top of the division again as she challenges Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship in a rematch from Elimination Chamber in Perth back in 2024. Additionally, Jey Uso looks to shock the world as he challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship and Sheamus looks to finally win the Intercontinental Championship as he faces Bron Breakker with the title on the line.

Announced on the January 17th episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens will sign the contract to make their ladder match at the Royal Rumble official. To ensure order, San Antonio’s own Shawn Michaels will moderate the event.

Saturday Night’s Main Event will air live on NBC and will be streamed on Peacock with a start time of 8 pm Eastern. For international fans, the show will be streamed on WWE’s YouTube channel. For those in the UK, the show will start at 1 am.

  • Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso – Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship
  • Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus – Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
  • Jacob Fatu vs. Braun Strowman
  • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax – Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
  • Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens to sign the contract to make their Ladder match for the Undisputed Championship at the Royal Rumble official. Shawn Michaels will serve as the special guest enforcer.
