The final WWE Raw before Crown Jewel took place on October 6, which saw CM Punk make his return to TV, Maxxine Dupri vs. Becky Lynch, and more!
Focusing on the final build to Crown Jewel, the latest episode of Raw saw CM Punk and Roman Reigns both make their returns to TV following their respective lengthy absences. Additionally, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch faced Maxxine Dupri in a non-title rematch, and Lyra Valkyria faced Roxanne Perez.
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were on commentary for the show.
WWE Raw Results October 6:
- Following a recap of Roman Reigns making his return the previous week, The OTC officially opened the show. Reigns was interrupted by Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed, who both gloated about the beating Reigns suffered at Clash in Paris. Reigns accepted Reed’s challenge to face him at Crown Jewel in a street fight. Reigns laid out Reed to stand tall.
- Maxxine Dupri defeated Becky Lynch via count-out.
- Asuka demanded IYO SKY face Kairi Sane later in the show, slapping Sane.
- Roxanne Perez defeated Lyra Valkyria. Bayley told Valkyria after the match that they have unfinished business.
- Roman Reigns rejected Jey Uso’s offer to help him at Crown Jewel, saying that Jey should stay focused on Raw, and why CM Punk is speaking later and not him.
- CM Punk stated that he still wants to beat Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. LA Knight interrupted and stated that he also wants a title match, creating tension between the 2. Jimmy Uso hit Knight with a superkick, and later did the same to Punk.
- Kairi Sane defeated IYO SKY.
- Backstage, Paul Heyman let Seth Rollins know that if he loses to Cody Rhodes, then he will have to re-evaluate his decision to side with The Visionary.
- More drama at the back ensued between Reigns and The Usos, with Jey storming off.
- AJ Styles, Penta and Dragon Lee defeated The Judgment Day. Styles spoke about his match with John Cena after the bell.
- LA Knight and CM Punk defeated The Usos.
