A major return, more King and Queen of the Ring matches and more will take place on the June 16 WWE Raw.
After more than a year away from the ring, Asuka will make her return to action on Raw. One of the entrants in the Queen of the Ring tournament, The Empress will take on Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile and Raquel Rodriguez in the final first-round match. Whoever wins the match will take on Alexa Bliss in the semi-final match.
In the final match in the King of the Ring tournament, Sheamus, Bronson Reed, Rusev and recently announced entrant Jey Uso will all look to make it to the next round and take on Cody Rhodes. While it was originally a mystery opponent to take on Sheamus, Rusev and Reed, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce recently confirmed Uso would be the final man in the tournament.
The winners of the semi-final matches will advance to the finals at Night of Champions at the end of the month. Whoever wins each tournament will receive a world title match at SummerSlam.
On the June 9th Raw, Gunther defeated Jey Uso to become the new World Champion. The new champion is expected to appear live to celebrate his victory and address what’s next. While nothing has been officially announced at the time of writing, it has been previously rumoured that Hall of Famer Goldberg will make an appearance to interrupt the 2-time World Champion and begin the build to Goldberg’s final match. The rumoured location for the match is Saturday Night’s Main Event in July.
