WWE looks set to announce another UK PLE very soon!
Following on from the success of the previous events in the country 2 Clash at the Castles in 2022 and 2024 and Money in the Bank in 2023], the company looks set to bring the Elimination Chamber show across the pond in March 2025.
The news was broken by WrestleVotes on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass, stating that the top 2 cities in the running to host the show are Manchester and Birmingham:
“We can confirm that the Elimination Chamber PLE is headed to the United Kingdom in March of 2025 on the road to WrestleMania in Las Vegas. We are hearing two leaders to get that show would be Manchester and Birmingham, so we’ll see what they decide. But we do know that the Elimination Chamber PLE is headed to the United Kingdom.”
“As these negotiations go on, I think they settle on Elimination Chamber as the right place and time for it, given all the elements we see the success it had last year in Australia. So yeah, that’s where we’re going to be headed for the Elimination Chamber United Kingdom in March of 2025 and I think that’s going to open the door again for a few more international PLEs as we have that time between WrestleMania and SummerSlam.”
In terms of suspected venues, for Manchester, the odds on favourite would be the newly opened Co-Op Arena, which will host a stop on the upcoming UK tour on October 16th. For Birmingham, while no stop is scheduled on the upcoming tour, the Utilita Arena would be the likely venue as opposed to any stadium shows. If the announcement is made official, this will be the first time that the UK has hosted a PLE before WrestleMania in the calendar year.
WWE Elimination Chamber Looks Set To Continue Touring
Traditionally the final stop before WrestleMania, Elimination Chamber looks set to be held outside of the United States once more. Last held in the United States at the Thunder Dome due to COVID restrictions, the show has been hosted in the past few years in Saudi Arabia [2022], Canada [2023] and most recently Perth [2024]. The main event of Elimination Chamber 2024 saw Rhea Ripley successfully defend the Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax.
