WWE Official Sonya Deville is the latest confirmed entrant into the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. Deville declared herself for the match on the January 28th edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
Following months of Sonya Deville abusing her power as a WWE Official, in particular targeting SmackDown star Naomi, it was announced that Deville would be having a match with Naomi. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion gained retribution on her tormentor following a split-legged moonsault to get a pinfall victory.
After the match, Deville cut Naomi’s music and declared that there would be a Royal Rumble surprise taking place on January 28th, which was her entry into the match. On the same episode of SmackDown, another contestant was confirmed for the iconic match, as Sasha Banks made a return to WWE and also declared entry.
