WWE Hall Of Famer Had No Idea They Would Be On 2K26 Cover

A WWE Hall of Famer who is seen on the cover of 2K26 has admitted they had no clue that they would be one of the featured stars.

While CM Punk is the featured star of the WWE 2K26 base game, multiple special editions of the latest iteration in the franchise are also available to pre-order. On top of the King of Kings and Attitude Era editions, fans can also pre-order the Monday Night War edition, which features some of the biggest stars from WWE and WCW from the late 90s.

The Monday Night War refers to the weekly battle for ratings between WCW Nitro and WWE Raw that took place during the 90s. Although Nitro famously beat Raw in the ratings for 83 consecutive weeks, it was WWE who ultimately won the war.

Representing WWE on the cover are Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Chyna, while Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Goldberg, Eric Bischoff and Booker T represent WCW. According to Booker T, who famously won the WCW World Championship 5 times, he was not made aware of this ahead of time.

“Wow That’s Pretty Cool”: Hall Of Famer Booker T On Gracing Cover Of WWE 2K26

When asked about the game on his Hall of Fame podcast, the Hall of Famer admitted that no one told him in advance, but he is grateful to be once again acknowledged in pro wrestling history:

“Nah, I didn’t [know I was on the cover]. I saw that and I was like, ‘Wow, that’s really cool.’ I always find myself in those positions, as far as being there somehow. Somehow, I was there. For what reason? I don’t know. But I was there, and for me to be on the video game cover in 2026, after putting in the work back in the day, that grind, all those bumps in the road. All the fun that we had on the overseas tours and stuff like that. Working with certain guys throughout the years, thinking that this run, this wrestling thing would have been over with many years ago. I really did. I did not think this thing would last this long. I just finished signing some trading cards earlier today, about 500 trading cards. There was one with myself and Boogeyman and I was like wow! How did I get here? I don’t know!”

After finding success in WCW, Booker T made the jump to WWE in 2001 following the closure of World Championship Wrestling. Winning the World Heavyweight Championship one final time, the Hall of Famer continued to be featured prominently during his runs in the company.

With 2 Hall of Fame inductions to his credit, one as an individual and the other as part of the tag team Harlem Heat, Booker T is currently part of the NXT announce team alongside Vic Joseph.

More details on WWE 2K26 have since been announced, with the game set to be released in March. Those who order the deluxe edition will gain exclusive access 7 days before general release.
