WWE will present Fastlane on Saturday, October 7th live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event will mark the first time that John Cena has competed on a PLE in the United States since WrestleMania.
The LWO vs. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits
The Street Profits are in desperate need of a win. Following their alliance with Bobby Lashley, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have dropped down the tag order when it should have been beneficial for them. Lashley will be crucial in the victory to prove to the duo that they need him.
Winners – Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits
Iyo Sky (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair – Triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship
As with all Women’s Championship matches featuring Charlotte Flair there is always a possibility that The Queen gets the shock victory on the way to inevitably break her father’s record. However, after only defending the title twice since cashing in the contract, it still feels too early to take the title off of Sky. Asuka and Flair will likely cancel each other out to allow Sky to retain.
Winner – Iyo Sky
Finn Balor and Damian Priest vs. Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes – Tag Team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships
While there is a possibility that The Judgment Day lose even more championships to further anger Rhea Ripley, this match is more likely designed to play into a larger story arc. With The Judgment Day and JD McDonagh on one side and Owens, Zayn, Uso and Rhodes on the other, it looks like a build to WarGames at Survivor Series is underway. Expect either a disqualification finish or a no contest for this one and a big brawl to take place afterwards. regardless, The Judgment Day will walk out of Fastlane still the champions.
Winners – Finn Balor and Damian Priest
Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – Last Man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship
The rivalry looks set to end at Fastlane but the result will still stay the same. With Rollins being on the receiving end of multiple beatdowns it looks unlikely that he will lose the title to Nakamura. Rollins will get up at the count of 9 on multiple occasions but will hit something big to put down Nakamura for the count of 10.
Winner – Seth Rollins
John Cena and LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa
This match will roll 2 storylines into 1. Firstly, The Bloodline will likely lose the match and force Roman Reigns to make his return to handle Bloodline business as he believes the group can’t win without him. Secondly, Reigns is rumoured to be defending the Undisputed Championship at Crown Jewel. A victory by Knight will set him up for a showdown with The Tribal Chief the following month and continue his meteoric rise.
