WWE Edits WrestleMania 37

Several WrestleMania 37 segments have been removed from the WWE Network version of the event.

Night one of the two night event saw a 45 minute delay to the start. This was due to heavy rain at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Because of this, fans were told to seek shelter until the storm had subsided and the show could continue safely. This meant that WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre could not take place at the scheduled time. This would have been the first match in front of live fans since March 2020.

To fill the airtime during the delay, WWE let their superstars cut unscripted moments to promote their match on night one or two. There were also cutbacks to announce teams and kick-off show panels before the show could officially get underway. The various unplanned events took place just after Vince McMahon’s address to the live crowd and before Bebe Rexha sang her rendition of ‘America The Beautiful.’

In the edited version, the show seamlessly transitions from Vince’s appearance to Bebe Rexha, with WWE’s ‘Then Now Forever’ introduction between the two.

This has also been the first time that any WrestleMania has been delayed due to weather. WrestleMania 37 was also the last appearance of several superstars, with WWE making the decision to release multiple superstars from their contracts in April 2021.
