Update On Possible Jelly Roll Opponent For WrestleMania 42

Jelly Roll looks set to return to the ring at WrestleMania 42, and fans may now have an idea who the singer will be facing at the show.

As reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer RadioJelly Roll is not set to team with Royce Keys, which was the previously reported plan. Instead, the award-winning musician could either face Kit Wilson in a singles match, or a tag team match that would also include The Miz:

“I kind of wonder where they’re going with Jelly Roll,” Meltzer said. “It just feels to me they’re going to build to some gimmick match with Kit Wilson, maybe a tag with The Miz because The Miz has been involved in the storyline. They could do that. I had asked about the story because there was a story about Royce Keys, and I was told that it’s not Royce Keys, for whatever that’s worth. I wasn’t actually told that there is a match [for Jelly Roll], but when you look at it, it certainly seems like they’re building it.”

Jelly Roll made his return to TV on the March 13 edition of SmackDown as a guest on Miz TV. However, Kit Wilson interrupted the segment and called out Jelly Roll for being toxic. Miz then held Wilson for Jelly Roll to strike the British star, but Wilson ducked the punch and Jelly Roll laid out The Miz. On the enxt episode of SmackDown, Kit Wilson is scheduled to call out Jelly Roll.

Jelly Roll Looks Set To Return To Action At WrestleMania

If the Grammy Award winner does compete in a match at WrestleMania, this will be the second time that he has competed inside a WWE ring. Back at SummerSlam, Jelly Roll teamed with Randy Orton to take on the duo of Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. The singer lost his debut match, with footage from season 2 of WWE: Unreal showing him speaking to Triple H about having the finish changed. Originally, the babyfaces were due to win, but Jelly Roll did not feel it right that a non-wrestler pcik up the victory.
