TrillerTV Has New Suitor Seeking Owenership

Streaming service TrillerTV may soon have a new owner as a new suitor is looking to purchase the company.

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsiderOrange Crush, headed by Adam Abdalla, is assembling private funding to buy the streaming service that broadcasts multiple sports inlcuding professional wrestling, MMA, motorsports and cricket. While Abdalla is well-connected in the music and TV industries, he also has a background in professional wrestling, as he was the booker for Jersey Championship Wrestling.

According to the report, the plan for Triller if the purchase is successful is to “bring music videos back to the forefront by incorporating them, along with movies, onto the platform to augment the combat sports component.”

First launching as The Flipps App in 2012, the service was later rebranded to FITE before being renamed to TrillerTV. The streaming service has previously carried TNA and NJPW events and was also at one point the only way that international fans could watch AEW TV shows live. However, this has since changed following the launch of the MyAEW platform.

It has been reported by multiple outlets that Triller has been facing financial difficulties, which has also seen the service removed from NASDAQ in January 2026 and the company not filing mandatory quarterly and annual reports.

Analysis – What’s Next For TrillerTV?

Triller is not the strong contender it once was in the sports streaming world. Along with major promotions such as TNA leaving the service to launch their own platform, companies such as AEW now have other avenues where fans can access their content, such as MyAEW and Amazon in international markets. Additionally, services such as Netflix and Disney+ are now getting in on the action by broadcasting live content instead of focusing on their on-demand titles.

Even though major independent promotions such as GCW, House of Glory and wXw still have their shows uploaded to the platform, other sports content is incredibly niche, such as armoured MMA and powerboat racing. With sports always being a key component in media rights deals and one of the few events that fans need to watch live, Triller has found itself very much being lost in the shuffle.
